Inputs remain explicit: room geometry, finishes, target illuminance, mounting constraints, CCT, CRI, beam angle and protocol.

Review luminous flux, candela distribution, beam angle, shielding and visual comfort against room use. IES or LDT files support calculation where the selected family makes data available.
Check ceiling condition, trim or trimless detail, suspension length, access zone and finish schedule before release. Decorative products are coordinated with architectural systems rather than treated as isolated objects.
Record DALI-2, 0–10V or phase-dimming intent, control zones, sensor locations and emergency requirements. Compatibility still depends on the final driver, controller and local wiring method.
Assemble schedules, installation references and available certification records for contractor review. UL, CE and RoHS references apply only to documented products and markets.
Capture the visual task, architectural constraints, control expectations and decision dates. A hospitality lounge and a workplace task zone should not inherit identical glare, spectrum or scene logic.
Import documented photometry into the project model, check illuminance and uniformity, then inspect vertical brightness and likely sightlines. Calculation results remain dependent on geometry and reflectance inputs.
Align cut-outs, drivers, ceiling access, control addressing and circuit intent with the electrical and interior packages. Samples can be reviewed under representative finishes before approval.
Issue the selected schedule and commissioning assumptions. On site, aiming and scene tuning must be verified under actual furniture, surface and daylight conditions.
Application boundary: photometric simulations do not reproduce every adaptation response, surface variation or field tolerance. Wireless performance depends on building fabric; dimming behavior depends on the exact driver-load-controller combination; final compliance remains subject to project jurisdiction and product documentation.
